The instructor's day, end to end

Overview
Internal company tooling: the instructor platform at NIAT, used day to day by staff rather than the public. Instructors see the sessions scheduled for them, record their lectures, and get an AI rating out of 10 on each one, alongside feedback from the students who attended. The live link opens the company sign-in, so an NIAT account is needed to get past it.
Architecture & system design
React frontend over the scheduling and session services. Submitted lecture recordings flow into an AI evaluation pipeline that scores each session out of 10 and returns a QA report the instructor can open from the session card; student feedback and scorecards feed the same performance view.
Key deliverables
- Day-by-day schedule showing every session assigned to an instructor, with session type, room and completion state
- Lecture recording and submission, with an AI evaluation report rating each session out of 10
- Student feedback collected per session and rolled into performance views and scorecards
- Grooming check: instructors take a photo of themselves before a scheduled session can start
- Manager Connect for booking slots with a manager
- Practice, session reports and ticket raising for anything that needs a human
Engineering decisions
Built as part of the instructor tooling at Nxtwave. The scoring only carries weight if it is auditable, so every rating opens into a QA report tied to the recording it came from, and student feedback sits next to the AI score rather than being replaced by it.
